Seattle Sleep Doula

Won’t a Doctor Give Me Everything I Need?

October 4, 2013 By AdminDoula1

birth doulaThe role of Doctor and Doula are completely separate functions. Your doctor’s role is to make sure that both you and the baby are safe from a medical perspective. While this is an important role, the Doula steps in to fill all of the additional physical and emotional needs that women, infants and families will face throughout the pregnancy, birth and postpartum periods. Your Doula is your caring resource, personal advocate and dedicated assistant throughout each step of the process.
